Talking about the changing consumer behavior, he said, India is getting younger and this younger population will embrace brands, retail environments, and ecosystems that are talking about responsibility, sustainability, social improvement, respectfulness, and transparency. Clean label is the future of the country.
On luxury retailers adopting tech, she said augmented reality, magic mirrors, etc, are great if consumers are buying a bag, glasses, T-shirts, or shirts but when it comes to buying something expensive, they still prefer to touch and feel the product and this is imbibed in our system.

Speaking exclusively at The Great India Retail Summit 2024, held earlier this month in Mumbai, Sanjeet Mehta, ED- Indonesia, MENA & India (Disney Consumer Products), The Walt Disney Company, said, “Modern trade and e-commerce have been quite important channels for us. About a third of our business comes from e-commerce. It’s a high-growth channel for us.”
