The Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) announced that Scott Pauli will take on the role of executive director for the Island of Hawai‘i Visitors Bureau (IHVB), an island chapter of the HVCB. In his role, Pauli will oversee IHVB’s destination marketing in the U.S.– and support international marketing partners in Canada, Japan, South Korea, China and Oceania.
More than 40 participants will be participating in the training from Hawai‘i and twenty Pacific Island Countries and Territories: American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Hawaii, Kiribati, Republic of Marshall Islands, Nauru, Republic of Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna.

In his role, Pauli will oversee the Island of Hawai‘i Visitors Bureau’s destination marketing in the United States – and support international marketing partners in Canada, Japan, South Korea, China and Oceania – as contracted by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and through collaborative efforts with island partners, government entities, and various sectors within the hospitality, group market and related industries.
