When a rogue tire struck their car while crossing the Dames Point bridge, the Aughtry family made it to a gas station at the next exit, met with the Florida Highway Patrol and began waiting for a tow truck. Because the vehicle was making troubling sounds, they didn t think it was drivable.

With a little assistance cutting some debris that had attached to the tire, along with a parking lot test drive before hitting the road, the Aughtrys left in search of a hotel room for the evening.
Charter school at Calesa Township announces principal
The Ina A. Colen Academy, a charter school under construction at Calesa Township, announced that Sandra Rocquin of Fleming Island will be its principal. The school is scheduled to open in August 2022.
