Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett Resigns Following Felony DWI Arrest Syndicated Local – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth
GRANBURY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett has resigned from his post after a recent driving while intoxicated arrest that was upgraded to a felony.
Hulett submitted his letter of resignation on Thursday. In the letter, he said: “I am truly thankful for the opportunity to serve my city theses past ten years. Our City staff and City employees are truly among the best in the State, and I am proud to count out many involved citizens as friends and neighbors. Granbury has a special place in my heart, and I look forward to watching our city grow and prosper.”

Hulett, 68, submitted his resignation letter Thursday, writing: “I am truly thankful for the opportunity to serve my city these past ten years.”
Hulett was arrested early April 25 on a misdemeanor DWI charge and released later that day on $1,000 bond. That charge was upgraded to a felony this week after authorities determined that he had twice before been arrested on similar charges.
Court records show that Hulett was arrested by Fort Worth police in 2007 on a DWI charge. KXAS-TV (NBC5) reported that he crashed into another vehicle and his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.122. Hulett was sentenced to 90 days in jail and two years of probation in that case.

GRANBURY, Texas Grandbury Mayor Nin Hulett was arrested by the Hood County Sheriff s Office just after midnight Sunday on a class B misdemeanor DWI charge and booked into the Hood County jail, according to Hood County officials.
Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds said the Granbury Police Department is handling the case.
Hulett was booked out of the Hood County jail after posting a $1,000 bond around noon Sunday, officials said.

Granbury Mayor Nin Hulett was arrested on a misdemeanor charge early Sunday, according to Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds.
Deeds said Hulett was arrested by Granbury police shortly after midnight on a charge of driving while intoxicated. He was booked into the Hood County Jail and released on a $1,000 bond Sunday morning, Deeds said.
Hulett left the jail around noon, Deeds said.
No further details about the arrest were available.
