Esperance port zone growers and grains industry stakeholders will have an opportunity next month to hear experts present the latest research and development outcomes that can be used to guide on-farm decision making. The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is holding a regional Grains Research Update at the Esperance Civic Centre on Friday, August 6. GRDC grower relations manager – west, Jo Wheeler, said Update presentations would be tailored to address key issues relevant to growers in the Esperance the port zone, and help inform their tactical decisions for 2021 and beyond.

The two-day event will begin with a plenary session on carbon neutral grain farming in WA, with the Director of the Climate Change Institute at the Australian National University, Professor Mark Howden and Elizabeth O’Leary, Head of Agriculture at the Macquarie Group as keynote speakers.
