Bulletin Board: Greenfield Tennis Association to hold doubles tourney June 19 Modified: 6/13/2021 8:46:12 PM The Greenfield Tennis Association (GTA) will sponsor a fundraising, special day of doubles tennis on June 19. All proceeds will go toward the continued maintenance of the clay courts in Greenfield. Men, women, juniors and seniors of all levels are welcome to play in this fun, single-day event. You will enter as a single person; your doubles partner will be selected randomly and will change throughout the event with each round. The event will take place on the very clay courts the GTA is striving to preserve for the community – Beacon Field and Highland Park.

Cayleigh Aldrich had two hits and drove in four runs while Leah Potter also had two hits in the loss.  Miscellany

Bulletin Board: Turners Falls/FC Tech baseball and softball to tangle in primetime May 14 Staff Reports The battle for the Powertown will take place in primetime this spring. Turners Falls High School will host Franklin County Technical School in varsity baseball and softball on May 14 at the Bourdeau Fields Complex. Baseball will begin at 6 p.m. while softball is set for a 7 p.m. first pitch. In the bottom of the second inning in both varsity games, Turners Falls will “pass the hat” to collect money for the Food Bank of Western Mass. Fans are permitted to attend the games, but masks are required and they must be socially distanced from other families.
