AAA Viswesh Balasubramaniam Shastri, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Colachel Sub-Division, has been transferred and posted as ASP/Aide-de-camp to Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
The Department of Home issued orders giving additional charges to two senior police officers. Prateep V. Phiip, Director-General of Police, Tamil Nadu State Police Academy, shall hold additional charge of the Police Training College.
Abash Kumar, Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP), shall hold additional charge of ADGP, Economic Offences Wing.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], June 3 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief MinisterMK Stalin on Thursday paid floral tribute to his father and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on his 98th birth anniversary in Chennai.
He was administered the oath by Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Along with Stalin, 33 other ministers from his party also took the oath. The names include 19 former ministers and 15 new faces. There are two women among the newly sworn-in ministers.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], May 11 (ANI): Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M K Stalin on Tuesday sworn in as an MLA at the Tamil NaduAssembly in Chennai.
Earlier on Friday, he took oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister at Raj Bhavan.
He was administered the oath by Governor Banwarilal Purohit. Along with Stalin, 33 other ministers from his party also took the oath. The names include 19 former ministers and 15 new faces. There are two women among the newly sworn-in ministers.
DMK won 133 seats on its own in the 234-member assembly and fought the polls in alliance with some other parties including Congress. (ANI)

The ceremony begun with MK Stalin introducing his Ministers to Governor Banwarilal Purohit shortly after which National anthem and Tamil Thaai vaazhthu was played.
While Stalin was swearing-in, his wife Durga Stalin and Chepauk MLA and Stalin s son Udhayanidhi Stalin became emotional.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday called the Covid-19 situation in the state a ‘medical emergency’ and instructed the Chief secretary to set up a war room. From availability of hospital beds, oxygen stocks to vaccines, the war room will act as a central unit that will track and monitor the Covid-19 situation in the state.
In his statement, the DMK Chief said that the current scenario of the pandemic has changed into a medical emergency. He appealed to all private hospitals to fully commit themselves to save lives and asked them to not only increase the number of beds allocated to Covid-19 patients but also provide concession in billing to maximum possible extent.
