Originally from Cork (like Brian O Donovan), he is the author of over 24 books on European philosophy and literature (including two novels and a volume of poetry) and has edited or co-edited 21 more. His new book is called Touch, published this February. While its timing is a coincidence, such a subject during a worldwide pandemic and our social isolation, makes it a topical issue indeed. Tranent mum Rosanna Anderson jailed for £55,000 benefit scam

By Alex Lawrie Rosanna Anderson appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court A MUM-OF-SIX who was gifted nearly £3,000 by her local community to buy a specially designed helmet for her baby son has been jailed after admitting claiming six years worth of benefits she was not entitled to. Rosanna Anderson wrongly claimed more than £50,000 after failing to inform the Department for Work and Pensions she was living with her then-partner in the family home. Anderson, who has six children and is step-mum to one, claimed the excess child tax credits payments while living with her former partner Stuart McTaggart at a house in Tranent.
