At 5 00, lets go back to the desk. We are following developing news coming in from hayward where a high speed chase ended with a violent crash. A child in the car seat was found in the car after the driver ran away from the scene. Alex savidge is joining us live now with more on the search for this driver. Good morning, alex. Reporter good morning, to you. The good news in all of this the child involved in this pursuit was restrained in a car seat and did not have to be transported to the hospital. So that is the good news this morning. This car that was being chased by officers did a lot of damage when it was crashed. You can see the road remains shut down here at russ road as chp officers repair a pair of power poles that were taken out during this crash. There may have been another person in the car as well. Chp officers came in and searched the area for the driver but we do understand that man remains on the run still this morning. This pursuit first started just after 2 00 in the

And right now there is not a big bag so pretty soon this is pee are gob to drive into a sea of traffic. Dont try to use the Richmond Bridge. Use the bay bridge as an alternate or go up to highway 37. The
