Gooseberry Falls State Park near Two Harbors is an easy stop on a trip to the North Shore, and there are several waterfalls and rapids along the Gooseberry River that are accessible within the park. Plus, you can follow the river down to Lake Superior.

Construction is expected to begin this year to reroute a section of the Superior Hiking Trail north of Gooseberry Falls State Park.
The 1.6-mile section of trail from the park s falls area to Blueberry Hill Road was permanentely closed several years ago after a private landowner revoked access for the trail. Since then, the trail has temporarily been routed along the paved Gitchi-Gami State Trail and then up Blueberry Hill Road.
