In the continuing effort to clean up Baltimore s Inner Harbor, the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore on Thursday announced the addition of a fourth trash wheel. Not only have the trash wheels picked up a combined 1,600 tons of trash and debris from the Baltimore Harbor, but they ve also helped us support groups like Trash Free Maryland and Baltimore Beyond Plastic in their successful efforts to make Maryland the first state to ban foam takeout containers, said Adam Lindquist, director of the Healthy Harbor Initiative at the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore.The new trash wheel s name is a play on the Wizard of Oz character, Glinda the Good Witch changed to Gwynnda the Good Wheel of the West as she is located at the mouth of the Gwynns Falls in southwest Baltimore. You may have heard of it if: You spotted their pies in the aisles of Fiesta Farms
But you probably haven’t tried it because: This small-batch business is only two months old
It’s safe to say that Alex Commons, a knife maker turned pizza startup co-founder, is obsessed with pizza. When the pandemic hit, he tried a different frozen pie every Sunday over the course of a few months, eating them during Zoom poker nights with friends. He was generally unimpressed by what he found, lamenting their failure to translate pizzeria freshness to the home experience.

Frozen pizza is starting to get a lot better in Toronto thanks to some small makers who are breaking the Delissio mold.
Sure, the comfort and convenience of popping a frozen pizza in the oven is great, but wouldn t it be even better if the end product didn t taste so much like the cardboard it came in, and more like a pie from a local restaurant?
This is obviously easier said than done, or else pizzas from the grocery store frozen aisle would taste a lot more like fresh ones.
