As per the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) market rates, gold is trading on the higher side on May 19, whereas a slight dip has been observed in silver prices.

As per international market, the spot gold stood low at $1,866.54 per ounce.
Spot gold was up 0.6 per cent at $1,853.50 per ounce in international markets.
Gold, Silver Price Today: Prices of gold futures for delivery in June rose as much as 0.82 per cent to hit an intraday high of Rs 48,070 on the Multi Commodity Exchange. In the spot market, 24 carat or fine gold was priced at Rs 47,776 per 10 grams, 22 carat gold was sold at Rs 46,130, 18 carat gold was priced at Rs 38,210 and 14 carat gold was sold at Rs 31,760, according to India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). Precious metals were witnessing buying interest on the back of safe haven demand amid geo-political tensions between Israel and Palestine and rising COVID cases.

In the international market, spot gold was down 0.6% at $1,826.89 per ounce by 8:43 am.
Gold, Silver Price Today: Prices of precious metals (gold and silver) declined on Wednesday on the back of weak global cues ahead of US consumer price data due later in the day. Gold futures on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell as much as 0.35 per cent to hit an intraday low of Rs 47,465. In spot market, 24 carat gold also known as fine gold was sold at Rs 47,790 per 10 grams, according to India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). Likewise, 22 carat gold was sold at Rs 46,160 per 10 grams, 18 carat gold was priced at Rs 38,230 and 14 carat gold was sold at Rs 31,780 per 10 grams in the spot market.
Domestic spot gold closed at Rs 44,516 per 10 grams on Friday, and silver at Rs 65,128 per kilogram - both rates excluding GST, according to Mumbai-based industry body India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).
In the international market, gold was trading lower at $1,696 per ounce and silver was down at $ 25.20 an ounce. Meanwhile, the rupee declined by 19 paise to close at 73.02 against the dollar due to stronger American currency and risk aversion in global markets. Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, gained 2.59 per cent to $ 68.47 per barrel.
What Analysts Say Spot prices for 24 karat gold at Delhi fell by Rs 522 in COMEX (New York-based commodities exchange) gold prices, said Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities), HDFC Securities.
