PETALING JAYA: MCA’s Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) is collaborating with businesses who are struggling to sell pre-ordered Chinese New Year goods because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
CRSM said as Malaysia has been placed under the second movement control order, sellers who pre-ordered Chinese New Year goods are now facing the challenge to sell these goods after the number of customers in the streets dropped drastically.
CRSM said it has organised the GoCare #BeMYHero Awareness Campaign, to help promote the sellers products on Facebook as a free marketing platform.
CRSM national chief Datuk Natalie Lim said the campaign’s main goal is to assist those affected by the pandemic, regardless whether they are the vulnerable members of society or business owners.

PETALING JAYA: Over 500 volunteers under MCA s Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) have been mobilised to help flood victims in the country, says its chief Datuk Natalie Lim Chong Ly. The CRSM has been fully engaged in disaster relief since non-stop rainfall deluged areas. More than 500 volunteers have been mobilised across the country and supplies in excess of RM200,000 have been handed to provide assistance to disaster-hit areas, Lim said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 14).
Besides distributing dry foodstuffs, anti-Covid-19 pandemic supplies and others, she said the volunteers also assisted in relocation efforts including clean-up works and post-disaster reconstruction.
