PETALING JAYA: Over 500 volunteers under MCA s Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) have been mobilised to help flood victims in the country, says its chief Datuk Natalie Lim Chong Ly. The CRSM has been fully engaged in disaster relief since non-stop rainfall deluged areas. More than 500 volunteers have been mobilised across the country and supplies in excess of RM200,000 have been handed to provide assistance to disaster-hit areas, Lim said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 14).
Besides distributing dry foodstuffs, anti-Covid-19 pandemic supplies and others, she said the volunteers also assisted in relocation efforts including clean-up works and post-disaster reconstruction.
PETALING JAYA: MCA s Crisis Relief Squad (CRSM) has set up the GoCare Job Hub website to help those who have lost their jobs. Numerous companies and businesses have published more than 100 recruitment ads on the GoCare Job Hub in hopes of helping vulnerable families get through these difficult times, said its chairman Datuk Natalie Lim Chong Ly. GoCare Job Hub has two main functions - the I Need Job function which enables job-seekers to examine and apply for suitable vacancies, and the I Need Worker function that allows businesses to advertise their recruitment drives, she added.
She also said to step up the fight against the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the CRSM has raised more than RM6,000 to purchase medical face masks as well donating personal protective equipment (PPE) and supplies to frontliners.
