Ireland-based lessor ACG Aircraft Leasing has requested that India s bankrupt Go First airline replace missing parts from its leased jets and allow round-the-clock security to guard grounded aircraft
Jackson is the second lessor to approach the appellate tribunal after Engine Lease Finance BV. On August 18, the NCLAT modified NCLT s July 26 order to permit the engine lessor to carry out inspection of their four engines leased to Go First.
This decision modified the NCLT’s 26 July order, which permitted Go First to use the leased aircraft, and noted that it does not approve the part of the NCLT order that restrained the lessor from inspecting the engines.
A senior executive of Go First said around 150 employees which includes 30 pilots and 50 cabin crew members are planning to resign in the next two weeks.
A bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra said since the Delhi High Court is seized of the matter and hearing it on a day-to-day basis, it was not going to entertain the plea at this stage.
