GMR Airports Infrastructure said the investment is part of the financial partnership announced on December 2022 between the two parties, in relation to investment by NIIF in the equity capital of three airport projects of GMR Airports.
GQG Partners Emerging Markets Fund bought 92,636,787 shares, and Goldman Sachs GQG Partners International Opportunities Fund bought 19,02,45,637 shares, according to bulk deals data. The shares purchased represent a cumulative stake of 4.7%.
In Q2 FY24, GMR Airports Infrastructure reported its consolidated net loss reduced to Rs 190 crore. The company had reported a net loss of Rs 197 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2022.
Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd, a listed subsidiary of the holding company GEPL (GMR Enterprises Pvt Ltd), soared around 14 percent in Friday s trading session to their 52-week high of ₹70.22 apiece.
