Nivea Jars Made from Bio-based Forestry Byproduct

Sabic renewable polymers for new Nivea packaging

Sabic renewable polymers for new Nivea packaging RIYADH, 6 hours, 9 minutes ago Sabic, a global leader in the chemical industry, said that German multinational Beiersdorf will innovate the packaging of its world-leading ‘Nivea Naturally Good’ range of face creams using Sabic’s certified renewable polymers. Sabic’s bio-based polypropylene (PP) resin, part of its TRUCIRCLE portfolio, will be used for producing the jars of Beiersdorf’s Nivea Naturally Good day and night face creams. The new Nivea packaging will be phased in at point-of-sale outlets worldwide from June 2021 onwards and make a major contribution to help Beiersdorf reduce its use of fossil-based virgin PP.

Beiersdorf partners with SABIC to launch climate-neutralized Nivea products

Beiersdorf partners with SABIC to launch climate-neutralized Nivea products Premium Beauty News Share: The German group has partnered with petrochemicals manufacturer SABIC to create more environmentally friendly packaging for certain products in its Nivea range. Starting from June, the face care products of the Nivea Naturally Good product range will be released in 30 countries featuring a jar made from certified renewable polypropylene (PP). The range will thus be switched from fossil-based virgin plastic to renewable plastic. For this, Beiersdorf will use the certified polypropylene (PP) from SABIC’s Trucicle portfolio, derived from tall oil, a by-product of the forestry and paper industries.
