The open-ended fund of funds invests in overseas firms that provide solutions for the climate challenge Sustainable investing has picked up pace in the past few years with billions of dollars flowing in. One of the key subsets of ESG is climate change, a major area of interest in current times.
Against this backdrop, HSBC Global Asset Management has launched HSBC Global Equity Climate Change Fund of Fund (HGECF), an open-ended fund of funds (FoF) that invests in a basket of overseas companies that provide solutions for the climate challenge.

HSBC Asset Management India has announced the launch of HSBC Global Equity Climate Change Fund of Fund - an open-ended scheme investing in HSBC Global Investment Funds – Global Equity Climate Change. The new fund offer will open for subscription on March 3 and close on March 17. The scheme will be managed by Priyankar Sarkar and will be benchmarked against MSCI AC World TRI.
According to the press release, it is the first-of-its-kind, fund of fund investing in an underlying fund which has a thematic focus on climate change. The scheme will invest predominantly in the units of the HSBC Global Investment Funds – Global Equity Climate Change.
