A number of years ago, 11 years ago, we petitioned the food and Drug Administration to require Health Warnings on soft drinks. That petition, were not sure if the fda has opened the envelope. Its a slow moving agency. In any case, the fda hasnt responded to that petition. And getting a warning label on soda presumably would encourage people to choose beverages without warning labels. Warning labels are not going to solve the problem but presumably would reduce consumption by several percent and everything helps.
