Hospital beds available in Glenn County, staffing levels become a challenge

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. - Glenn County Public Health (GCPH) officials say the county s only hospital has plenty of beds, but admit it is not easy with a staffing shortage.
The county s only hospital Glenn Medical Center, located in Willows.
The facility has 47 licensed beds, 27 patients, and 20 beds available, according to Amy Travis, Deputy Director for Glenn County Office of Emergency Services.

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. Glenn County Public Health conducted a clinic Tuesday to provide the first 50 doses of Pfizer s COVID-19 vaccine to frontline healthcare workers.
Among those vaccinated were hospital staff from Glenn Medical Center and skilled nursing staff from Willows Post Acute.
Mercy Medical Center is serving as the distribution and storage site for Glenn County’s Pfizer vaccine. Glenn County has been allocated 255 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 200 doses of the Moderna vaccine in the initial shipments of the vaccine.
