The Phoenix Festival plans to go ahead over the August Bank Holiday weekend but will be a stripped back version of previous years. Due to financial and time constraints, the organisers have decided to focus on a smaller two-day event that will showcase an array of locally based acts, artists and performers, as well as rolling over the previously booked 2020 special guests: “Bruno - A Tribute to Bruno Mars” and “Michael Starring Ben” - a tribute to the King of Pop. Glen Moreman festival manager said: “Just over a month ago we set up a Just Giving campaign to help raise some festival funds and although we haven’t yet reached our target we are still planning to go ahead this summer with a stripped back festival and do Cirencester proud.”
