Cirencester s radio station is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month.
Corinium Radio which broadcasts 24/7 music and talk programming aimed at Cotswold residents first broadcast on May 5, 2006, on a temporary radio licence. It has since gone on to become one of the UK s most successful community radio stations, having been shortlisted in the nationwide Community Radio Awards in 2019. May marks the launch of a 15th anniversary year for the organisation which is run entirely by volunteers with plans in the pipeline for activities over the upcoming months that will celebrate the achievement. These include the launch of 15 facts about the station, which will aim to give the local community a greater insight into its work.
