Protesters arrested three months ago, even as officers arrested two more protesters. The supervisor pitched a plan to close the city parks between midnight and 5 00 a. M. And the two dozen or so campers out here say that plan would essentially criminalize being poor. They raised awareness about the new plan and the supervisor wiener said it would give cops another tool to fight quality of life crimes like vandalism.
