I spoke with police right before this Community Event taking place behind me, and they made it clear they will be there for Uc Berkeley Police if they need help on this ann coulter visit thats taking place either this week or next week, but essentially this is the jurisdiction of Uc Berkeley Police, and they will be there for mutual aid. Of course, this whole firestorm started with ann coulter when her event was scheduled for this thursday. It was cancelled by University Officials due to security concerns, and then days later the university tried to reschedule that event to next week. Now in the meantime, student organizers are suing the university claiming they are restricting their free speech by cancelling the coulter event.
