The Taliban has ordered secondary girls' schools in Afghanistan to shut just hours after they reopened, sending many home disappointed. Despite an official announcement several days ago that classes would resume for both boys and girls on March 23, the Taliban Education Ministry announced just one day before this date that girls' schools would remain shut until a plan was drawn up in accordance with Islamic law and Afghan culture.
