DIMAPUR The National Productivity Council, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and ICAR–National Research Centre on Mithun, GoI, will jointly organise the North East Sustainability Conclave on Productivity and Green Growth at ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, on April 13. AN update from ICAR-NRC informed that Indian Potash Limited (IPL) would support the conclave as industry partner. It added that the conclave would focus on promoting sustainable economic growth in the Northeast region of India by bringing together various stakeholders from the government, private sector and academia along with progressive farmers to discuss and exchange ideas on how to achieve sustainable development in the region. It mentioned that the government of India has committed to reaching its non-fossil energy capacity of 500 GW by 2030, meeting 50% of its energy requirements from renewable energy by 2030, reducing total projected carbon emissions by one billion tonnes by 2

Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, observed Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 from October 31 to November 6 on the theme “Corruption Free India for Developed Nation”. An update from Sr. Scientist and Vigilance Officer of the institute, Dr. Sapunii Stephen Hanah, who also co-ordinated the weeklong programme, informed that the awareness week commenced with an integrity pledge undertaking by all the office staff, both permanent and contractual, of the institute. As part of the celebration, the institute conducted activities like essay writing and drawing competition for its staff and school children based on the theme of the awareness week. Dr. Girish Patil S, Director of the institute, gave away certificates to the winners of the competitions during the valedictory programme, the update added.
