Police say the suspect fled triggering a search with a helicopter as well as a drone. Officers found the man in a delivery port of a neighboring walgreens where witnesses heard cops trying to get the suspect to give up. Authorities were trying to ask the subject to come out. It didnt work out that way. I heard the shots. The suspect did fire on our officers. And our officers returned fire. A handgun was located at the scene. Now police declined to comment on what might have led the suspect to fire on officers in that situation. But investigators say they might be releasing more details this week.
