This is what it looked like around 7 15, 7 30 this morning. It created a plume of smoke and the San Francisco Fire Department tweeted out this was not an airplane crash. This twoalarm fire started in a heating, hvac unit. The Fire Department had it out in about an hour. Alarms did go off the building and united said all of the employees evacuated. No one was hurt. We spoke to one mechanic who said the evacuation was calm and orderly. Everybody was looking at the smoke and not evacuating. And that is something that we all know. Youre supposed to evacuate right away and not be lookylooing and all of that. Some if not all of the employees have returned to work. Operation at airport was not impacted, the terminals remain opened and flights took off and landed as normal. Bob redell, nbc bay area news.
