Howwood Pavilion A LOCAL community are looking to take over an unused pavilion in a Renfrewshire park. Friends of Howwood Park are bidding to run the pavilion on a ten year lease as part of an application for a Community Asset Transfer. The group have plans to refurbish the building by adding an accessible toilet and baby changing area in order to bring it back into community use. It is hoped the pavilion will also be used as a changing area for local football teams and as a hub for youth clubs and walking groups. The community-minded campaigners have already transformed the play park with new equipment including swings, a zip slide, roundabout and climbing frame which has sen visitor numbers increase.
