GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The Alzheimerâs Association Grand Rapids Walk to End Alzheimerâs is moving forward with plans to host its 2021 Grand Rapids Walk to End Alzheimerâs in downtown Grand Rapids.
This is the first year the event will take place in downtown Grand Rapids.
The new course is 2.1 miles and begins at Rosa Parks Circle. From there, walkers will cross the Grand River on the Blue Bridge, head back across on the Gillett Bridge and follow the Riverwalk down to 6th Street Park. Walkers will then return to Rosa Parks Circle down Monroe Avenue.
All of the World of Winter events are free, family-friendly and social distanced.
Downtown Grand Rapids will host the Hybycozo s at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. It s a series of large-scale installations and artworks that offer geometric exploration and patterns through light, shadow, and perception. You can see the artworks from January 15 through February 28.
Impulse on Monroe will take place from January 22 until February 28th. Impulse features 15 see-saws that light up and make sound when used by people. Downtown Grand Rapids will host Impulse at 555 Monroe Ave NW.
The Singing Tree at Canal Park boasts an interactive light show. You can interact by singing, clapping, or yelling to create an unforgettable and unique experience. Downtown Grand Rapids will host The Singing Tree in partnership at Canal Park.
