A cask of Limerick Whiskey was recently carried on board Ilen, one of the last of Ireland’s traditional wooden sailing ships, from Limerick to Cappagh as part of a re-creation of a voyage which happened 100 years ago to the JJ Corry shop at Henry Street, Kilrush. The event was organised by Louise McGuane and her team at JJ Corry s in Cooraclare. Our picture shows the vessel approaching Cappa Pier on the final leg of the Shannon voyage.
