[gavel] my name is doctor ellen moffett, i am an assistant medical examiner for the city and county of San Francisco. I perform autopsy, review medical records and write reports. Also integrate other sorts of testing data to determine cause and manner of death. I have been here at this facility since i moved here in november, and previous to that at the old facility. I was worried when we moved here that because this building is so much larger that i wouldnt see people every day. I would miss my personal interactions with the other employees, but that hasnt been the case. This building is very nice. We have lovely autopsy tables and i do get to go upstairs and down stairs several times a day to see everyone else i work with. We have a bond like any other group of employees that work for a specific agency in San Francisco. We work closely on each case to determine the best cause of death, and we also interact with family members of the diseased. That brings us closer together also. I am
Expect busy city roads in the east bay this weekend as a major freeway set to shut down in just a few hours from now. Southbound 680 between the 580 and 680 connector and koopman road will be closed through monday morning. Ctvs Amanda Quintana has more on the project the crews will be working on this weekend and how you can get around it. Signs have been warning drivers in the east bay they wont be able to drive down 680 this weekend. All southbound lanes will be closed by doing a weekend closure, we are able to shrink what would otherwise be closures into one weekend. Thee highway will b shut down for about nine miles from th i5 8680 connector to koopman road, starting at 9 00 friday night to four in the morning, monday. When the roadway reopens at 4 a. M. Monday, there will be a smooth ride for motorists. We are replacing the deteriorated pavement with concrete, which lasts for a long time.
