Yak Churpi, Khamti rice, and Tangsa textile from Arunachal Pradesh have been granted the Geographical Indication (GI) tag by the GI Registry. Yak Churpi is a fermented milk product made from the milk of Arunachali yak, a unique breed found in the region. The product is expected to provide benefits to tribal herders against cold and hypoxia.
