The city’s go-to spot for a St. Patrick’s Day party (think more than 1,000 pounds of corned beef and 35 barrels of Guinness in a normal year) has downsized the fun due to COVID-19. No big outdoor tent with bands all day and night this year, but you ll still find music inside by Gerry Sloan from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Speako Chords from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The bar will be pouring what comedian Kathleen Madigan has called the best Guinness outside of Ireland beginning at 9 a.m. The Blessing of the Shamrock and bagpipes are scheduled for 10 a.m. The kitchen opens after the ceremony and will be serving a limited menu anchored by corned beef and cabbage, Reubens, Irish root soup and fish and chips. Curbside delivery, takeout and dine-in are available.
