Very long. It seems that due to his age and condition the bureau of prisons cut him a break. He is able to serve the remainder of his sentence at home on confinement. After five years of monotony of former disgraced governor spent this morning traveling through downtown chicago. The governor is a very close to being a completely free man. This is another step and a long journey. As he begins his transition back into the free world. He does so as a convicted felon. He would like me to tell you there he is grateful to leave the penitentiary. He is grateful also for the support and encouragement that he has received from many people. His son drove him straight here to the Salvation Army freedom center. The former governor wanted to see the light. Since his imprisonment began todays trip was his third opportunity to venture outside. He had not forgotten how to do that. He is in decent spirits.
