Well, would we like it to be a bank holiday, or would it simply cost too much money . Theres one estimate that said it would cost the economy £4 billion for everyone to take a day off work, that being said, as, as Andrew Pierce was saying in the last show, weve got two Bank Holidays in may and none in april. Couldnt we just make one of them . Yeah. Do swapsies that last yeah. Do swapsies that last may. Bank holiday. Why do we have it . Yeah. If you did a direct swap, surely that would work. Although, interestingly, when i did a quick sort of straw poll amongst people this morning and you say have you ever celebrated Saint Georges day . They go , no, no. You know, for they go, no, no. And presenter Russell Brand of Sexual Assault says his response to the allegations has been insulting. The woman, known as alice, says she was 16 at the time, and is one of four women alleging he assaulted them in the uk and us between 2006 and 2013. Russell brand denies the claims saying his relationships have been always consensual. The bbc and channel 4 the broadcasters where he used to work have both launched investigations. Heres helena wilkinson. Actor, comedian, entertainer Russell Brand, now accused of serious allegations by four women, including rape and Sexual Assault, allegations he denies. One of his accusers, alice, not her real name, alleges that Russell Brand assaulted her when he was in his early 30s and she was 16 and still at school. She spoke to radio 4s womans hour and had this to say about his denials. First of all, i think it is insulting. It is laughable he would even imply that this is some kind of Mainstream Media conspiracy. He is not outside the mainstream.
