The Pontiac Vibe was a compact five-door hatchback produced between 2002 and 2009 for the 2003 through 2010 model years, with production discontinued following the end of the Pontiac brand. Now, vehicle valuation and automotive research company Kelley Blue Book has recognized the Pontiac Vibe in its list of the top 10 Best Used Compact Cars Under $5,000.
Although the Pontiac Vibe was offered for eight model years, Kelley Blue Book has included the 2005 model year from the first generation as part of its list. The second-generation Vibe was introduced for the 2008 model year.
The Pontiac Vibe was jointly developed by General Motors and Toyota, with the latter producing the Toyota Matrix as part of the joint venture. Interestingly, Kelley Blue Book also lists the 2004 Toyota Matrix in its list of the top 10 Best Used Compact Cars Under $5,000.
