faired a missions says you re not on trial and but then they proceed to make this argument that african american cans and latinos are unfirly a ben fitting and the question is how do they make this leap and turn this into a discrimination gensz asian americans into a critique of amrm action action. there was a question asked i think on day wuj of trial. wds you agree that race is a factor for african americans. so that question was asked by one of the lawyers for staudants for fair admissions. to say was he that a a a group
situation and they will have a lot of difficulty meeting that 30 day deadline. matt, they have no nsz as when it comes to how many children have been 134raeeen se whether have actually stopped separating families at the border. how do you explain this complete lack of transparency about what is going on at america s borders? i mean this is really-i think the most horrific part. you know, i think it is inexcusable. you can make an argument for family separation even, right? i m not in favor of it, but you could make an argument for strong border, building a wall, all that. there are legitimate smart people who make that argument. what you can t argue is that it is okay for america to take your kids away and not to keep track of them. not to be able to reunite you at some point by injury are chew of like keeping records. it is unbelievable that this is actually happened. and i think this is the thing that should be making people
i think it was significant and important that he sent the cia director to pyongyang to kind of sound out where the north koreans are and whether they re really prepared to talk about the issue that i think the administration has made very clear, which is denuclearization, getting rid of their nuclear weapons, or to use the term that the north korea nsz agreed to use in 2005, abandoning all their existing nuclear weapons and all their nuclear programs. so in looking at that and then the announcement, of course, yesterday, we don t have a sense that that s in fact what s happening with the north koreans. they ve talked about suspending a testing program. why? because they ve completed it, it seems. so i think we have a long way to get north korea back on the track of abandoning their nuclear weapons as they agreed to do in 2005. and what i m a little surprised about is the idea that pompeo didn t get some things down in writing.
these noncollege white working class voters we re talking about and if you re going to do it, how do you do it? some are saying it s a lost cause. and they re saying just before hillary clinton, be barack obama did enough to win pennsylvania, michigan. what is your sense within the democratic party about that challenge? is that something pick a new nominee in 2020 and the problem can take care of itself. i ve reported a lot on this recently, trying to figure out what democratic candidates are advised to do in 2018. and they re encouraging democrats to show a willing nsz to work with trump, talk about how the economy is improving, encouraging them to talk about economic issues and health care.
there and keeping us clapping like a bunch of trained seals at sea parks. let me tell you, when bill clinton did his very inappropriate, horrific acts, he was impeached. he was investigated thoroughly. we have a republican congress who very possibly we are looking at here with this entire strms issue with sec violations and a republican congress who remains silent and pretends this is not on their radar screen instead of doing a full investigation. i think that s why you re seeing republicans losing election after election. federally, state and local because people are fed up with the complicity, the silence and the willing nsz to look the other way and ignore the blatant, obvious things that are going on. look at congress s approval ratings. great to get both of your perspective as republican women and pundits. thank you very much.
