we just learned of a big development at columbia university here in new york. they have seen many of these anti-israel protests. just now, the university has announced that they are suspending two student groups. one is called students for justice in palestine and the other, jewish voice for piece, a palestinian advocacy group. the school is writing the group s repeatedly violated university policy relating to holding campus events and that culminated in an unauthorized event on thursday that preceded despite warnings and included threatening rhetoric and intimidation. so this is the first real example we ve seen on the part of a major american university, an ivy league school, that is pushing back against these groups. a major development. there could be a lot of reasons why we re seeing this this afternoon. maybe coming from some of the donors, the trustees. we ll talk about it coming up in moments. first, this warning of a growing furry against the united states in arab na
right now on the story, israeli defense forces on extreme high alert on their northern border where fears of a second front opening up in this war are escalating this afternoon in terms of what could happen with hezbollah on the northern border in lebanon. the terror group s leader made his first statements since the october 7th massacre. he praised those actions as heroic. he called them brave and well-designed. thousands are gathering to cheer him to watch him. listen to the background here. this is the scene in beirut just a few hours ago cheering him on as he calls it something praise worthy. watch this. some say that i m taking us to battle. no. we join the battle immediately following october 7th. what is taking place today is unprecedented since 1948. all israeli military positions are being attacked daily. there s concern that this front may escalate even further or turn in to a full war or that this front may stumble in to a wide ranging war. this is possible.
the missile defense teams shoot down most inbound missiles and drones, but they repeatedly terrorize the civilian population here. neil: thank you for that. let s get to this with general perkins, a fox contributor, we appreciate both. general, first off, on all of these revelations the president has been clear saying they re not concurrent, he s not too worried about because the revelations are dated. they don t all seem very dated now and reaction in real world response from countries like ukraine the response in the war and china, what it s saying about its role in this war, you have to wonder. your thoughts? yeah, so the problem with these intel leaks and i know last hour you had mr. radcliff, former dni on, really is
neil: wow. do you worry when a 21-year-old has it and he first started getting the clearance to have this type of material when he was 19 and he is sharing it, we re told, with a group of gamers, some as young as 16. what do you think of that? yeah, clearly the fact that he s young and has a security clearance is actually not that unusual because the military is a young person s game and i ve had plenty of young soldiers security clearances in combat or whatever and never had a security leak, but this does get back to them understanding that there are consequences for this and examples like this need to sort of being case studies as they bring on new people and say, these are the things you cannot do because see the second and third order ramifications. neil: all right. general, i always learn a lot. thank you very, very much. general david perkins, u.s. army, four-star general, fox news contributor, self-policer when it comes to intelligence.
unfortunately, common occurrences, and the russians, by nature, are not well-trained. they are not particularly discriminating when it comes to their targets. and so, this really should be seen as a wake-up call that this is unfortunately probably be the first of many of these misfires. brian: general can we put that map up we just h people at home, look at the blue, that s progress that the ukrainians have made. the red is what russia has taken. every time they fight russia loses. they can t even draft enough men to put into forces because they are untrained and they become cannon fodder. over 200,000 russians have left rather than be drafted, i ask you, general, if you are the ukrainians, why would you go into talks when the people that you are fighting that invaded you are losing two you? well, the point here, like you said, is the ukrainians have exceeded all expectations with regards to their victories on the battlefield, and when you go
