Army Chief visits Siachen, East Ladakh, critical position

The visit of the Chief of Army Staff is important because India and China are engaged in a deadlock.
New Delhi:
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General MM Narwana visited Siachen and East Ladakh on Tuesday and reviewed the operational status in the areas.
He was accompanied by Army Commander Northern Command Lt Gen YK Joshi and General Officer Commanding Fire and Fury Corps Lt Gen PGK Menon.
According to an official release, General Narwane interacted with the troops and congratulated them for their stability and high morale, while some were deployed in harsh terrain, altitude and weather conditions.
