The second round of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccine dry run is scheduled today. Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan will be visiting Tamil Nadu to review preparedness and oversee mock vaccination drills, according to an official statement. Today s dry run will be carried out in 736 districts across 33 states and Union Territories (UTs).

New Delhi, Jan 7 : As the country prepares for the COVID-19 vaccine roll out, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will be visiting Tamil Nadu on Friday.
During his visit, Vardhan will review the preparedness and oversee the dry run operations at the scheduled sites.
A massive countrywide mock drill to prepare for the COVID-19 vaccination is being conducted on Friday in 736 districts across 33 States and UTs.

As the country prepares for the Covid-19 vaccine roll out, the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan will visit Tamil Nadu on Friday to review the State’s preparedness and oversee the vaccine dry run exercise at the scheduled sites.
A massive countrywide mock drill for the Covid-19 vaccination is being conducted on Friday in 736 districts across 33 States/UTs.
The Union Minister will visit the sessions site at the Government General Hospital and the Government Omandurar Hospital in Chennai. In the afternoon he will visit the private vaccination centre in Apollo Hospital after a brief visit to the General Medical Store Depot (GMSD) in Periamet. This is one of the four national vaccine storage facilities, the other three are at Mumbai, Kolkata and Karnal.

New Delhi: The first batch of coronavirus vaccine is slated to reach New Delhi from Pune by Thursday night. The vaccine is slated to be delivered ahead of the second dry run on January 8 and the proposed kickstart of the vaccination program by January 13.
Earlier today, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan sought personal attention of state health ministers and additional chief secretaries to oversee the second dry run on January 8. The drill will take place across 736 districts in 33 states and union territories. The Health Minister interacted with state health ministers and principal secretaries of states via video conferencing.
