Singapore approves IATA Travel Pass
Singapore has approved the
IATA)
Travel Pass for use by travellers to the country.
As reported, the IATA Travel Pass aims to provide a digital solution to allow travellers to store their passport, Covid vaccinations and negative test results on one place to prove they meet travel requirements.
From 1 May, passengers travelling to Singapore will be able to use the pass as part of an ongoing collaboration between the
Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (
CAAS) and IATA to “facilitate seamless and efficient travel”.
The news follows successful trials of the IATA Travel Pass by Singapore Airlines.
Singapore’s Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung, as well as Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Phong Choon, are currently urging all employees of the country’s national carrier to receive their vaccinations within the next two months.
