UP Police is setting up new police stations and patrol teams along the Yamuna Expressway in preparation for the inauguration of the Noida International Airport. The plan includes seven new police stations, dedicated forces inside the airport's periphery, and additional posts along the expressway. The aim is to manage security, traffic, and law enforcement challenges in the area.

NOIDA: The Noida Authority has claimed to have unearthed a Rs 90-crore scam pertaining to acquisition of land from Gejha Tilapatabad village for the development of a sector in Gautam Budh Nagar.
Of the 15 transactions that happened in the village during the acquisition process, officials said, nine landowners were paid more compensation than the amount designated by the authority. The acquisition took place in 1993, and the compensation was paid later.
The Authority CEO has already ordered a probe so as to fix the accountability of officials, while the assistant legal officer has been suspended for his alleged involvement in the scam. The district administration has also been asked to issue recovery certificates to the owners of these nine properties.
