ANN ARBOR TWP., MI – Two people killed in a crash on U.S. 23 outside Ann Arbor Tuesday afternoon have been identified.
Stephen Rohacs, 66, of Pinckney, and Leonard Hershey, 54, of Detroit, were killed Tuesday, May 4, when their SUV left the roadway and entered oncoming traffic on north U.S. 23 crashing into a car and semitruck, according to the Michigan State Police.

A horrific crash killed two men at US-23 and Geddes Tuesday afternoon in Ann Arbor.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (FOX 2) - Two people died Tuesday when an SUV hit a semi on US-23 in Ann Arbor.
Both 66-year-old Stephen Rohacs of Pinckney and 54-year-old Leonard Hershey from Detroit were killed in the accident.
The northbound lanes of the freeway are currently closed at Geddes Road due to the crash. The freeway was closed for several hours before reopening in the early evening.

Police reported the highway reopened at 6:25 p.m. May 4
ANN ARBOR TWP., MI – Northbound U.S. 23 was closed at Geddes Road Tuesday afternoon due to a double fatal head-on crash, officials confirmed.
The crash was reported around 1:17 p.m. May 4, on northbound U.S. 23 between Geddes Road and Plymouth Road in Ann Arbor Township, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff s Office is warning of a possible police impersonator in Ypsilanti.
Around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, a 26-year-old Ypsilanti man contacted Washtenaw Metro Dispatch about a “suspicious traffic stop,” according to a news release.
The man told police he was stopped near Prospect Road and Geddes Road by someone impersonating an Ypsilanti police officer.
The caller said the impersonator drove a car with red and blue lights, wore a hat with a star logo, a black vest labeled “Agent” on the front and a badge. When the caller asked why we has pulled over, the person was “evasive” and fled the scene.
