A CORRESPONDENT DHUBRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ashok Kumar Singhi from Bilasipara (East), in an interaction with media persons at Chapor of Dhubri district, claimed that over one lakh people benefited under various welfare schemes in the last five years. Singhi said that a massive socio-economic transformation had taken place in his constituency due to various welfare schemes initiated by the State and Central governments. Apart from that, Dhubri district being one of the 117 aspirational districts of the country, various innovative schemes and projects got implemented and were being continued in order to uplift the socio-economic condition of the people, along with a massive infrastructural development in all the sectors, focusing particularly on education, agriculture, health, communication and skill development, Singhi said.
