Itâs been years in the making but it finally happened - McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands opened its doors for the first time.
From the moment the planning permission was granted in 2016, people in Cannock and surrounding areas had been eagerly awaiting the landmark shopping centre. Along the way, there were traffic complaints and outrage about the whopping 50ft signage but now it is finally here, residents appear to love it.

A gang of four men were all caught after smashing into an EE phone shop in Banbury. After leaving empty handed they were all later caught in Witney seeming to try their luck at another phone shop. Three men had already been sentenced for burglary and going equipped for burglary. Matthew Best, 31, of Torridge, Tamworth, John Deeney, 36, of Adrians Close, Atherstone, and Ashley Wheeler, 36, of Sorrel, Tamworth were all spared jail at Oxford Crown Court last month.
