New Brighton Police made a breakthrough in e-hailing driver s murder

SAPS New Brighton Task Team under the supervision of the Station Commander, Colonel Vuyisiwe Tembani spent tireless and sleepless nights tracking down those responsible for the senseless killing of an e-hailing taxi driver on Wednesday, 17 February 2021 in New Brighton. It is alleged that on the mentioned date, at approximately 17:42, police responded to a complaint of a shooting in Madala Street in New Brighton. The driver, Garrison Snayers (30) was found shot dead in his Suzuki vehicle. Snayers operated as an e-hailing taxi service for the owner of the vehicle. On Sunday, 21 February 2021, after the memorial drive-by and laying of flowers for the deceased by his family that took place at the site of his death, Col Tembani set up a task team to hunt down the suspect/s responsible for the attacks on e-hailing taxi drivers and foreign-owned shop owners in New Brighton
