Two men, charged with the murder of e-hailing taxi driver Garrison Snayers, appeared briefly in the New Brighton Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The case against Wandisile Gawu and Bathandwa Jabavu, both 25, was provisionally postponed to next week for a formal bail application.

The father of slain e-hailing taxi driver Garrison Snayers has done the unimaginable he has already forgiven his son’s killers.
With three men arrested between Monday and Wednesday for the cold-blooded killing, a grieving Garreth Snayers said he now needed justice to run its course.

A special task team in New Brighton have arrested three men in connection with the murder of e-hailing taxi driver Garrison Snayers, who was shot dead in Madala Street on Wednesday last week.
The task team, under the supervision of New Brighton station commander Colonel Vuyisiwe Tembani, was initiated after a memorial service was held for Snayers at the site where he was killed.

SAPS New Brighton Task Team under the supervision of the Station Commander, Colonel Vuyisiwe Tembani spent tireless and sleepless nights tracking down those responsible for the senseless killing of an e-hailing taxi driver on Wednesday, 17 February 2021 in New Brighton.
It is alleged that on the mentioned date, at approximately 17:42, police responded to a complaint of a shooting in Madala Street in New Brighton. The driver, Garrison Snayers (30) was found shot dead in his Suzuki vehicle. Snayers operated as an e-hailing taxi service for the owner of the vehicle.
On Sunday, 21 February 2021, after the memorial drive-by and laying of flowers for the deceased by his family that took place at the site of his death, Col Tembani set up a task team to hunt down the suspect/s responsible for the attacks on e-hailing taxi drivers and foreign-owned shop owners in New Brighton
