A 25-year-old man, allegedly mentally unstable, jumps into a funeral pyre at a cremation ground near Gagandeep Colony of Salem Tabri area and suffers 70% burn injuries. The victim, identified as Rohit Kumar, was rescued and taken to Ludhiana civil hospital before being referred to PGI, Chandigarh. The incident was reported by Assistant sub-inspector Ajitpal Singh.
