Manchester City midfielder Maximo Perrone is close to joining La Liga side Las Palmas on loan. Perrone's agent is travelling to Europe to finalise the details of the move.City manager Pep Guardiola suggested Perrone as an option to Francisco Garcia Pimienta, the Las Palmas head coach. The pair played for Barcelona for a period in the 1990s and Garcia Pimienta coached in La Masia while Guardiola was head coach.Perrone joined City from Argentinian side Velez in January and made two substitute appearances in the second half of last season. The 20-year-old did not make the matchday squad for City's 4-0 win at Burnley last Friday and was an unused substitute during their Super Cup victory yesterday.Las Palmas were promoted back to La Liga last season. Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Leeds to sign USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams for a fee in the region of £23million plus add-ons.The south coast club made the breakthrough on Friday after protracted negotiations.Adams is set to undergo a medical on Friday afternoon and, if all goes to plan, the 24-year-old will sign a five-year deal.Additional reporting: Phil Hay
