NOIDA: Television journalist Rohit Sardana died here of cardiac arrest on Friday, days after he tested positive for Covid-19, according to his channel Aaj Tak. He was 41.
Sardana, who was an executive editor and TV news anchor with Aaj Tak of the India Today Group, is survived by his wife, two daughters and parents.
He was admitted to a private hospital here after he tested positive for coronavirus. His last rites will take place in his hometown of Kurukshetra in Haryana, according to his colleagues. New Delhi, April 30 : Rohit Sardana, senior journalist and one of the top anchors of Hindi news channel Aaj Tak passed away on Friday, according to people close to him.
Rajdeep Sardesai took to twitter and wrote, More terrible news friends. Well known Tv news anchor Rohit Sardana has passed away. Had a heart attack this morning. Deep condolences to his family. RIP.
Sardana had joined Aaj Tak in 2017 after he left Zee News. He hosted the debate show Dangal on Aaj Tak.

His RT-PCR test had come negative, but a CT scan had confirmed the infection, Sardana had tweeted, adding that he was better. However, a heart attack on Friday proved to be fatal, Aaj Tak, the news channel he worked for, reported.
